Check earlier postings for my responses. I'm going to contact SAAB. If and when I get a definitive answer I'll post it. In the meantime, my best guess is that it's somehow tied into the antitheft device which, according to the owner manual can disable the starter for 10 minutes. In my experience, e.g. this afternoon, it restarts in 20 minutes and is independent of anything I've tried in the meantime. The problem is also definitely related to hot weather. I also think it's somehow related to opening the trunk or one of the passenger doors (as I did the last two times it didn't start) before opening the driver's door which controls the anti-theft device. Someone at SAAB must know what this is all about...........David
