Where do you live? Are you in the states? One the west coast, the 99 9-3se lists for $35000 and the 98 900se lists for a bit more. SAAB has worked out a lot of the kinks in the 900 in making the 9-3- better front suspension, etc. It also boasts the new 9-5 seats with the active head restraints.
