Two screws (each) allow you to remove the grille, and four clips hold the speaker in place, which is isolated from the plastic by a rubber, um, thingy. Speakers in the back are 4x10s mounted to the side of the parcel shelf. You can put speakers in the shelf itself, but even remotely heavy speakers will cause the shelf to start sagging quickly. Not only that, but the shelf is not particularly sturdy, and powerful speakers will cause it to bounce and vibrate, and give you bad sound quality. I'd suggest reinforcing the shelf from underneath before mounting speakers there. -Justin
