Subject: Stereo fitting

I have just bought (two days ago) a 1986 900 T16. There wasn't a radio in it and I will be looking to fit one soon. I can see a din sized compartment in the top of the fascia but am puzzled as to where to fit some speakers. There doesn't seem to be anywhere in the doors that would accommodate even a small pair. The demister vent assemblies seem to have a pair of cut outs the right shape and size, might there already be a pair there or only mountings, if the latter for what size speakers. I was also going to fit a pair of shelf mounted speakers to , you guessed it, the rear parcel shelf. With some quick release connectors these shouldn't cause too much grief when folding the seats forward. Has anyone done anything similar? Any hints and tips welcomed.
