They removed the Transmission to replace the clutch? That is not needed on the 900. Man, I have to say that is the best way to get people. The removal of the transmission is not required, and it does requires a special tool but you can use a hard vacuum line (a small one, I said hard remember because it will be crushed by the pressure plate fingers when you release the clutch). It took me about 3 hours since I had to clean all the smudge and dirt that was around the cover. I used the Hayne's manual. Johnny Herrera 1985 SAAB 900S
