No, you did not. I have studied reliability reports for Saabs for a long time and here is what I conclude. Saabs most of the time are extremely reliable cars (unless you buy a just-out model where not all the kinks have been worked out :-). Some cars may actually have recurring problems, but here is where a good dealer must come into play. I have great ones in my area. My Saab 900 SE '97 Turbo had originally some weird noise, apparently associated with the Climate Control. The trouble was very hard to diagnose as it was non-repeatable. It took me 2 times to show the problem to my mechanic, but once they heard it, they had a diagnosis in 5 minutes. I had new back-flow valves installed, and the problem went away. I am having great fun since then. Could never go faster than 125mph though - always run out of safe road stretch. Thanks, -Dima Smolyansky
