I'm looking at a 74 Sonnet and not being an enthusiast, was wondering if someone could give some advice on major points peculiar to this model I should pay attention to. Generally, it's pretty together, stored outside unused (So.Cal by the beach) for a coupla years, but supposedly started intermitantly, and driven around the block 6 mo. ago. Body is very good, interior tatty, eng. supposedly xlnt & has recent work w/performance upgrades. Tires and wheels good-soccer ball. Think I'll be talking about $500-$1,000 for it. What rusts on these things? 74's need smog in CA, what smog equip. should it have on it? What problem areas should I check out? Thanks!
