The car they are talking about has to be  a new 9-5 with the 2.0 litre
turbo engine. And yes, it would be nice to drive through Europe. I
bought my first Saab, 1983 900T in May of 83'. I picked it up at the
factory in Sweden and drove back to Belgium. I was stationed there with
AFN as an Air Force Broadcaster. Good luck and enjoy. If you are in
France, you have to check out the chateaus in the Val De Loi. The last
place staid was a two star hotel in Quiberon. It was beautiful.
