I agree. It is essential to have some residence for your beverages of temperature, particularly when they are habitually present while driving. I think that $105 is a bargain when you factor in the hideous amount of waste and destruction caused by 365 x 5 years of thrown out McDonald's plastic landfill. Inordinately high dry cleaning bills, as suggested, are yet another reason to consider such a purchase. In consideration of myself alone, the quintessential justification is the prevention of severe human burns. Logically, one could forgo the entire hassle by simply giving up coffee in the morning. Perhaps a simple endeavor at first glance, but along with multitudes of benefits, real or perceived, and the added strain of post 90's coffee-neauvo hype, one is taxed by the prospect. Factor in if you will the unusually commodious "ash-pits" placed fore and aft by our friends at Saab. I am lead to believe that either the Saab engineers think their primary market customers never cease smoking, or perhaps in their frustration, they don't. Either way, in the hours of sobriety, if one has a propensity to smoke at all in their car, coffee seems the requisite companion, and a place to put it a certain requirement. I believe the people at Husco know this all too well, and perhaps when viewed in larger context, the $105 expenditure seems rightfully diminutive. Eff Smith '89 900TC Jeremy Sholovitz wrote in message ... Well, as I said in my previous post, it's really a matter of personal opinion. For me, I feel that the investment was justified. I have a cup of coffee on the way to work EVERY DAY. It is FAR easier to drive with two hands when shifting than one. And I like being able to put the cup down, and not worry about it spilling when driving over bumps, and around corners. And I really hate embarrassing coffee stains on my clothing all day long. And the second reason I felt the investment was justified is that, when driving on long (2-3+ hour) trips, having an armrest makes a big difference. YMMV. j On Fri, 14 Aug 1998 19:00:26 -0400, Ken Ranke <krankenopsaml.msn.com> wrote: >$105 to hold coffee ! !
