Subject: Blue then White Exhaust Smoke 900 Turbo 16V Sport

I changed oil and slightly over filled it. About 1 weeks driving later, car at idle, noticed copious amounts of bluish white smoke pouring out of the exhaust. This did not seem to happen at high revs. Asked around and checked spark plugs (they looked fine). Came up with the conclusion that turbocharger had given up. Took turbocharger off the car, got it inspected and found that it was beyond help. Got a reconditioned turbocharger from and fitted it. Drove the car for a about ten miles and all seemed fine. Pulled up outside my house when once again, at idle, was getting lots of blueish smoke out ot the exhaust. Phoned around - Conclusion was that my exhaust system was likely quite full of oil and that this would take about 100+ miles to burn out. Now done 200+ miles. Smoke has now turned from blue to white. At idle the engine is running as if on 3.5 cylinders and is rough on pick-up. I'm losing water from my radiator header tank and number 3 sparkplug is damp / oily (the other plugs seem ok). Given these symtoms, my question is - can watercooled turbo leak water giving white exhaust smoke or has (as I suspect) my head gasket failed ?
