If its a 5 spd, it already has synthetic oil in the tranny. BTW, I was going to use Mobil 1 on my 9-3....but I've changed my mind, apparently it has no zinc in it. Zinc is very good for turbos since it helps lower friction in metal to metal contact such as occasionally occurs in a turbo bearing after shut down. I've decided to use Castrol Syntec as it's synthetic AND contains Zinc.
