Cops don't enforce the law in penalizing those who drive too slowly. They should, but they don't. All forms of clearly unsafe driving should be ticketed. >God knows the driving tests in most if not all staes do >nothing to prepare the average driver for what lies ahead on the = highway.=20 >Do you know what your car can and cannot do? But, to me, this includes holding back when I feel tempted to drive in a manner that might be disrespectful to the rights of others. >BTW, I drive a late model convertible. :-) I wouldn't have bothered to respond, but your post, in its way, contributes a little to illustrating things for me. I think of a Saab owner and enthusiast not as someone who tailgates for some annoyance(!), but as someone who takes all of the challenges of driving with a great deal of pride. This includes the challenge of driving safely on roads occupied by drivers not of like mind. Most of the Saabers here, and on the road, fit that bill. I try to. Some don't. =20 Since we communicate as a group, more than some other car owner groups, I figured I'd state my opinion, in the hope that peer pressure might affect those who haven't yet quite gotten it. I have tailgated a few times in my life. As I have tried to improve my driving, it's something I do less and less.... even if I'm annoyed. JL =20
