I've always thought the new convs were overpriced but then I think they hold their value incredibly well. Example - I have a clean, and I mean absolutely clean, 89 charcoal grey turbo conv with 90k miles. The car was originally $32,000, and I paid $18,000 in late '93 when the car had 39,000 with the extended warranty. Blue book on this car today is $6,000, but in talking with my local dealer the other day (who wants the car), he told me that at the dealer auction in southern NY the car would bring anywhere from $12 - $14,000. This for a 10-year-old car. He feels the older 900 body will be a true classic, but the real deal is a clean convertible. So, this is just one car at one point in time. One thing for sure, blue book on these clean Saabs is a load of crap. KL
