I have had 2 '85 900T's, one of which had the original A/C and worked just fine, the other had a leaking hose and needed that replaced and the system recharged. It now works fine as well. Additionally, this is a car that came from Corpus Christi, TX, so I know that the A/C got a hell of a work out. Repair costs were about $400 parts and labor, not the least of which was the Freon which just keeps going up in price. You might want to consider a refit to 134A, the kit from Saab is not that expensive, it seems to be a matter of attention to detail in removing the ozone and prepping the system to use the 134A. Several people on Turbo! have had this done and report positive results. Also check out http://www.townsendimports.com for lots of info on redoing A/C systems. Good luck! Bob L.
