Subject: Re: Recommended Oil Filter for '87 9000t

Hi, Why would you want to take the FRAM oilfilter off ASAP. I haven't used anything else on my SAAB's for 600.000 kilometers.(with the odd change every 20k of course). Please remember that SAAB engines where origianally developed so that any (swedish) farmer could repair it. The don't need any fancy oil, filters or what ever to run smooth. At the university for car mainanace etc in Driebergen Holland they even teach that for regular streetcars all the fancy oil and filter stuff is an absolute waste of time and money. So go cheap unless you want to race your saab wich of course is comletly different ball game! Harrie Aaron K.
