First of all I forget to mention my car is a 1984 900 turbo I think I`ve read somewhere that ther is a thermal switch that does somthing to the fuel system between certain temperatures I believe your 84 is somewhat similar to my 86: There is a temp probe in the center of the intake manifold casting, between the paired runners. (There are other temp sensors, including the one in the plumbing for the guage, but this one--if its there--is specifically for the FI) BTW: cleaning air-mass sensor wires is unbelievably delicate work. Do-able, but it is impossible to use TOO much care or be TOO gentle. (Avoid caffeine!) Ben
