Neil, If Saab will not give you details about the stereo system, they don't want you messing with it...I said it the nice way for public consumption...From some of the postings in the www.saabnet.com Bulletin Board and other info, the electronics of the entire car are integrated by computer...I have no doubt that certain parts work on certain resistance...You could blow the whole shooting match....For the life of me I can't understand why you did not get the upgraded sound system...What you propose sounds like some of the people who get a non-turbo and want to convert to a turbo...It just is not worth the expense or headache....
