This is a "big" filter like the original 1987's, and like the Fram PH16. The Bosch also has a check valve, and costs about $5 each at an import parts place. Bosch also makes a smaller size equivalent to the current Saab multi-model and the Bosch book lists the smaller one as the "right" one for your car. You'll have to override the parts counter clerk on this one. I've noticed with Frams in the past that I got a "clacking" noise when first starting, and stopped using them. I have also found that the easiest way to change the filter on this car is using a Rite-Fit cap which fits on a 3/8" socket (I use a 12" extension)and minimizes the amount of under-car time. Costs about $5 at Pep Boys.
