Hi George, yep those motors are a bitch. But are you sure the motor's dead? I found that for some reason my driver's door motor was not getting a sufficient ground (from a screw that had worked loose) and once fixed worked great. I've taken that damn thing in and out of the door on numerous occaisions (prior to discovering the fix) and its not too bad. I'd recommend disconnecting the motor from the window braces (I'm not a techie so the name is descriptive, not official), raise the window and then reconnect the (dead) motor. But stopping at drive-thru's will be a hassle less severe than that open window. Good Luck. -----Original Message----- From: George Lin <gclinnopsamedu> Newsgroups: alt.autos.saab,rec.autos.tech,rec.autos.driving Date: Tuesday, October 20, 1998 11:10 AM Subject: power window motor dead >Hello all, > >In my 88 Saab 900S, the driver side power window motor and regulator >died with the window wide open.
