John- the flickering light is something to look at, but I'm not sure it's related. When you say the alarm goes of randomly - could it be a loud noise setting it off? The alarm on my '91 9000 is hypersensitive to low rumbling noises, like Harley's and cars with holes in their exhaust. Even with my car in the garage and the door closed, my alarm goes off when my neighbor starts his Harley. If that's the case, the dealer can adjust the sensitivity (I'm told). Geoff
