It was the fuel line just forward of the fuel filter, before it disappears into the body (on the 900, the fuel line goes into the passenger compartment on the right side, under the rear seat to the drivers side and up the rocker area through the fire wall) The fuel line had cracked at the fitting on the filter. By the way, this fuel line is not a DIY job unless you have the tools......it is a very 'hard' plastic that takes a lot of pressure to get on the fittings. My independent was able to cut the bad end off the line and reattatch to the fitting at the filter, thank goodness, as the replacement would be a major job. Also, a good point while under there...change the filter if you have not done so recently. It will save you messing with the line again for awhile!
