Subject: Cold weather performance?

I'm a potential Saab 9-3 buyer and I'm wondering how Saabs tend to perform in the winter. Since they are designed and built in Sweden, I expect they should be good, but I suppose you never know. In the winter we drive our car in temperatures that are regularly in the -15C to -25C (5F to -13F) range and occasionally as low as -40C (-40F). So I'm wondering how good are the Saab heaters? How about starting the engine in the cold? Anything else notable? Derek Aldridge derekaldnopsam.com
