There are two fuel vent, and fuel injection return fuel tubes that go to the top of the fuel tank. The nipples that enter the fuel tank have "rubber" grommets to seal the nipple (you may be able to see the lines if you remove the cover plates for the fuel pump and the fuel level transmitter). The only way to access these is to lower the fuel tank. Like I said in a previous message, I had to replace all of the fuel tank grommets in all four Saabs (99's and 900's) that I have owned because of very strong fuel odors in the car. These are pretty easy to change yourself, as long as the tank is empty! Since I live in Arizona, I get to change "rubber" things on the cars alot more than most folks. Be seeing you!
