My 96 900SE gets 29.5-33 mpg driving on the interstate, at cruising speeds of 70-80 mph. In mixed driving it invariably gets about 23-24 mpg and I don't drive it easy. Quite a few minor, irritating, problems; however, the only "bad" problem so far was a batttery that died at 48,000 miles. It cost $100 to replace but Saab customer service reimbursed me for it completely.
