The message <910772544.9903.1.nnrp-07.9e9807c2nopsam.demon.co.uk> from tubbsnopsams.demon.co.uk (tubbs) contains these words: > The main headlights on my 89 900T fail to come on when I first put the switch > in full position (the side and running lights are OK) > I have to start the car, flick the switch to full, then open the bonnet, pull > out the relay and then replace it ---and bingo----the headlamps come on! It's > a complete drag and friends are taking the piss. Please help with ideas? > It's as if the relay won't "boot" > TIA Paul Carey (again) Buy another relay, my advice is to buy a generic one with the same rating and not genuine saab. Most auto manufacturers dont produce items like this and buy in anyway from sources like Lucas or Bosch. The terminals on relays do burn and corrode, and I would say thats whats happened to yours. -- Mark Trudgill..
