They also have used parts at substantial savings. 531-7803 area code >978, owner's name is Lenny. > > I can recommend 2 that I have used. I have used dozens over the years that I would not recommend. 1) Ellis Imports, Soutboro, MA 485-1430 These guys can fix anything. IMO, since Chuck Ellis himself stopped handling the service desk, they have become a little more like a dealer in changing out entire systems as opposed to repair and have found extra work to do on recent visits. But if you want it fixed right the first time, or have a very difficult bug, or want your SAAB to run like it never has before, I recommend Ellis. 2) Swedish Motor Works, Inc., Concord, MA (978)369-8220 (Gary Stanley) This shop is competent and will not over charge. Also, there's a mechanic in Billerica who I have consistently heard positive reports on for many years: Boe Kalinoski. I have no personal experience though. The following is excerpted from the BBN Mechanics ratings page*: Automotion Rt 3A, Billerica - 978 667-5373 10/1996 Saab. CV joints, steering rack, exhaust parts replaced (3 visits over 2 years). No probroblems with the repairs. Prices were fair and near estimate. 05/1992 A one man outfit, "James Kalinoski ("Boe") is a Saab "Master Mechanic" which means he knows Saabs inside and out, and has had years of experience." Labor rate is $40 an hour, only Saab parts are used. Work always completed on time. *Check out the BBN Boston Mechanics ratings page for further input: http://web.mit.edu/johnbowe/www/bbn-auto/
