Subject: Re: Looking after the roof on a convertible....

Thatīs a miracle tried to solve for 2 years!!! Thereīs just one answer: KEEP THE ROOF CLOSED!!! or replace the fabric every 4 years... No- just be careful when opening or closing the top, give a little time to rest and fold, help the cloth folding in the right position with your hands - that will help the scrubbing problem (a litte)! Clean the top not toooooooo often, DON`T use convertible top cleaners!!!!!!!! Just use water and LITTLE soap, rinse it with water for a long time, so that all the soap is gone, cover the top, when parking for a long time. DON`T open the top when the fabric is WET or DIRTY!!!!! (really, donīt do that!!!) It suffers heavy!!! AND very important: Donīt open the top in wintertime when itīs frozen!!! One can clean the top every 2 month an then use something to impregnate the fabric when the roof is old - that helps to keep it clean- especially my tan top looks great but itīs a hard work... Thatīs it! See it from the other side: ITīs A WEAR OFF PART, the most expensive one... (US$ 2000) - Roland (900T conv.
