My '85 900T does the same thing, but only on mornings where the overnight humidity has been quite high, and only after the cat has had a chance to warm up to operating temps. I would guess you also see it more often (or only) after some short trips where the engine hasn't really had a chance to warm up. If it were to go on continuously, I would definitely suspect head gasket problems. Bob L.
