Subject: Re: 9-3 $$$$$

No doubt the BMW handles better, although the new 3 doesn't handle as well as the old. However, if you're looking for the perfect balance of performance, safety, versatility and individulaity, then the Saab is your car. Here's why: 1.Performance: It's new 200hp/209lbft (at just 2,100 rpm) engine allows the 9-3 to accelerate faster than the new 3 the Audi A4, etc... 2.Safety: It's proven real-world safety record, based on studies of insurance company accident records, not just lab crash tests (lowest injury rate of any mid-size or smaller car in the U.S.) can't be ignored. 3.Versatility: Neither can the amazing versatility -- it's got the largest trunk of any car sold in the U.S. The hatchback means you can carry your bikes inside the car instead of on the roof. 4. Individuality: Finally, the 9-3 is perfect for those of us who admire and covet the benefits that a BMW offers, but who are not inclined to associate with a brand that has become the "social climbers choice". Of course not all BMW drivers reflect this, but look around and you'll see that most owners bought for prestige, not the excellent performance, handling and styling characteristics that a BMW provides. Finally, a comparably-equipped 3-series is many thousands of dollars more...
