Interesting, my '86 9000 T16(Oz model) had the timing belt replaced when the bearing seized in the stub. That was at about 175,000 kms (108,000 miles). Belt was "ok", but pitted from the seized bearing. Cost was abour $700 AUD Seems to be a reasonable thing for that milage.
