Neither. Bottom line is that Volvo has a much broader product range in Sweden than Saab does, particularly at the low-end, high volume segment where saab doesn't compete. In regard to quality, witness cars like the Volvo 340 and 440, the new C70 and Convertible and the S80 (stuck in port in the U.S. due to quality issues)and you will see that Volvo had (has)quality issues as well. However, Volvo has done a better and faster job of improving its quality -- Saab has finally reached an admirable level of quality with the 9-5 and 9-3, but it's been a long, hard road...
