Subject: Where to mount rear speakers?



I have a 1980 900 3-door.  Any suggestions on where I would install rear
speakers?  I had an installer tell me he couldn't mount them in the sides of
the car because the interior wall is too close to the exterior body.  He
suggested the shelf cover, but that seems a bit exposed.  Anyone with
experience doing this or having them installed?
