But be patient. :) While you're in there, replace the plastic fittings on the cam follower oil feeds. They'll cost you $30 or so from the dealer, but surely less from another source. If you want, Saab sells a head gasket repair kit which will include both the valve cover gasket and the oil feed fittings, plus the head, intake and exhaust gaskets for about $100, but unless you ever plan on doing a head gasket, this might be overkill. > I also notice that there are a pair of rubber "half moons" between the > block and the cover on the sides. Saab does make a sealant for it, but it's nothing to write home about. The best stuff, according to my mechanic, is "Black Silicone Sealant" from Toyota, although I have no idea what availability is for this. -Justin
