I really like the looks of the 9-3 & 5. No better or worse than first or second gen 900s/9000s. Saabs are good looking cars. Some say ugly, but, "eye of the beholder". As for driving them, I liked the 9-3 (haven't driven the 9-5) but I liked the 1 & 2 gen 900s better. Not that the 9-3 handled poorly, quite the contrary, I just felt more comfortable in the others. BTW, my girlfriend fell in love with the 9-3 when we went to the NYC auto show and went to the Saab booth. Her choice: 5sp convertible in green.
