Ilia, You don't say what year your Saab is, but the general thought is letting the engine idle for 5 minutes to warm up is not good. Yes, it is cold. It would be wise to start your car, and then if you need to scrape frost, ice or snow off take care while the engine is running...Besides, you are no going anywhere until you can see...A minute or two should be plenty and driving the car easily until the temperature comes up should be okay. I live one mile from the entrance of my development. That is about the right distance to get things flowing.
