Funny thing!, I used to live in Flagstaff and had the almost indentical problem with my '84 900. When the weather started to get cold I would have trouble starting, just like you said. It turned out that the cold start vavle would malfunction and flood the engine. I think its a combination of the cold cold temperatures and the fact that the city of Flagstaff sits at 7000 feet. What I had to do was disconnect that cold start valve when this problem occured, until the engine was at normal running temperature. Kirk Leslie Aust wrote: > I live in Phoenix, Arizona.
