BTW, Saab 900 scored only 2 (!!!) stars of 4 in NCAP test, while Saab 9-5 and Volvo S40 4 stars of 4. Volvo S70 received 3 stars while "it almost earned a fourth star for its great performance in side impact" due to SIPS. S80 cannot be worse than S40/S70, because it has just everything S40/70 has plus some additional safety features (WHIPS, IC, more rigid body, improved SIPS), and I am sure it will earn 4 stars as well. As for "real life safety", S80 should be better IMHO due to the active safety reasons mentioned above (traction, etc.). Reference: http://www.whatcar.co.uk/themag/indexmag.htm. Radek
