Damon, I never had that brake problem in my 83 900T or 87 900S 16V, but from various postings on the www.saabnet.com Bulletin Board, it sounds like it may be time to flush your brake fluid, and make sure you use DOT 4 fluid...If your brakes still act up after that, I would suspect the master cylinder or possibly the vaccum boost has a leak...As for the fluctuating temperature, if your system is up to snuff, with no leaks and a good pressure cap on the coolant resevoir, I would suspect the heater control valve. Both my 83 900T and 87 900S had the fluctuating temperature syndrome. Eventually you will have a puddle inside, when the valve leaks....Good luck. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
