Arrgh...where is everyone getting this information? I'm seeing numbers like 0-60 times of 7.2 seconds, and weight figures of 2000kg (4,400 pounds) or 4,000 pounds. I don't know what Volvo is shipping in Europe with the S80 badge on it but it doesn't sound like the same car I'm seeing in the U.S. The S80 T6 I know weighs in at ~3,600 pounds (1636 kg) and according to the 1/99 edition of Car and Driver magazine, the T6 does 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds. If that's not enough, the pricing information I've seen recently on the newsgroup is a little disturbing (I can't say inaccurate because I only have pricing for the U.S. market). I can buy a S80 T6 in the U.S. under the European Delivery option for just under $37,000 USD (including a roundtrip air ticket and a night at a hotel). The S80 2.9 can be purchased under the same option for just under $33,000 USD. -rdo russell.ollienopsamnet BarnBurner© wrote in message <3679458b.81556113nopsam.supernews.com>... >Justin VanAbrahams <jvanabranopsamnet> wrote: > >>njahnopsamejanews.com wrote: >>> >>> Whilst we are on the subject of comparing these and other cars here are the UK >>> prices of some of the cars we have mentioned.
