Had the same problem on my 1975 96 when converting steering wheel. Remove the steering wheel, and follow the wire from the metal spring you pulled out. If the wire ever get in contact with some metal the horn will sound. Also look in the center pad on the steering wheel. Sorry if my english is bad. /Edmund Hot Knife skrev i meddelandet <915552426.7855.0.nnrp-08.c2de630enopsam.demon.co.uk>... >I have a 1979 99gl who's horn, after developing a comical beep when steering >around tight bends ,finally developed it's swandive by sticking on ! very >mellow for that driving experience. the Haynes manual only kinda shows the >900 model and doesn't fully explain the 99. after cutting both the wires to >the external front horn it still carried on (spooky) there is obviously a >second horn. so after ripping the steering wheel apart and pulling out a >metal spring thing (still beeping) i pulled the fuse out.
