Subject: A/C problem/HELP

all of a sudden my blower stopped working on my 9000CSE'93 and my saabman checked with the voltmeter and said it was the blower motor...he knocked it a few times and it responded and would not turn off unless the ignition was off. A friend who has a A/C repair shop checked the unit and felt the motor to be okay but to seriously think about the A/C command module / repair or change. The compressor was okay and he rather not tackle saabs. Another tech told me that when trhe motor fails, this happens (unit doesn't shut off) SO what do you all say? I took the blower fuse out so I don't need to hear the noise. BTW with the blower on in full/econo and off position, I don't get any cold air. If its the motor, Can't I get it repaired any way and not get a new one and/or should I search for a used one? I really don't rely on the A/C anyway but like to drive with the windows open.
