Indeed, both are good cars. I believe the 9-5 2.3 SE gives everything you need for a more fair price then the S70. Anyway, both are safe, 9-5 has been judged to be the safest car in an autumn European crashtest. Both are Swedish, both have personality. Of course as a Saab addict I would go for the Saab, but my godfather drives allready for 30 years with Volvo and he is happy about them.
