This happened to me in a snowstorm. The passenger wiper was still working so I adjusted it so it wiped in the middle. Not perfect, but better than no driver's wiper at all. You can take the assembly out if you pry with a 2x4 to lift up the cowling. The mechanism is pressed on. You can press it back on and drill a hole and drive in a pin to hold it forever. Make sure you get it on the right way, otherwise you have to take it out again. Good luck, Charles.
