I leased a new one of these in 1993 for 3 years. I really had no major problems. I remember that the OEM tires (Michelin?) were not as grippy as I would like. Think SAAB used them to improve ride. Anyway, I replaced them at about 18 000 miles and put on Z-rated Pirelli. (Or else it came with Pirelli and I switched to Michelin--I can't remember for sure.) Only other problems I can recall were with stereo system, which seemed to have poor connections to the amp and from that to speakers. Rear speakers were intermittent sometimes as a result. Mine was 5-speed so can't comment on the auto. transmission. Oh yes, the electric windows seemed godawful slow. Blew fuse 3 times when more than 2 were operated at the same time. Might have been a quirk of this particular car. But then, fuses were cheap. Bob
