On my 88 Mitsubishi pickup and 1988 Olds 98 Touring Sedan I made the move to synthetic and had no problems or leaks. The truck had 150K miles and the Olds about 100K miles, however on my 1986 900 T (160K miles) about 2 thousand miles after I put synthetic in one of the oil seals went. Because of the lack of time I had the my local SAAB guy do it and he said that the seal was pretty dried up. I think it was a matter of time so the synthetic just accelerated the process. I am now trying MILITEC-1 in the engine and auto Tranny, no problems so far. I am also using their vinyl cleaning and conditioning product I did noticed that the spoiler maintained the same look after rain and snow, and I did not get the usual oily run-off. I will post further longevity results. Joe tchapin-notnopsams.edu wrote: > I have a '86 900 and have used "natural" oil exclusively and became > interested in the subject of oil additives.
