Subject: Re: caddy dealer (new saab home ) wants $218 for 02 sensor

There's 3 possibilities for a Bosch 02 sensor: 1) Exact-replacement part bought from Saab (you should pay list price, $218 sounds about right) 2) Exact-replacement part bought from aftermarket supplier (the dealer pays 15-40% less, you should pay less) 3) "Universal" part bought from an aftermarket supplier. In this case, you must cut the wires from the old O2 sensor, and crimp/heatshrink the new one. Functionality is the same, just more work to install. Last time I checked, dealer cost on one of these was about $60, your price should be accordingly low. #3 is probably what Autozone is selling. al.nehlsnopsamdnet.att.net wrote in message <7837im$mnqnopsamsc03.worldnet.att.net>... >I have received a couple of replies on 4cyl and 8cyl Mustang 02 sensor >working if you splice.
