I had the pump replaced this weekend and it has made a world of difference! I no longer hear any strange noises and am starting to get the power back. The biggest difference is when accelerating hard down a slip road. Before I used to get a drop off in boost after several seconds which I supposed must have been caused by the car running lean and then starting to suffer from detonation, which then causes the APC to cut the boost.
