Subject: I screwed up with 9000 idler pully

SAAB 9000 CS 4 cyl '94 I messed up. Had to put in a new (rebuilt) alternator. Good time to replace the serpentine belt, oops. The pulley bolt is left handed thread. So I have a stripped part (bolt or nut I'm not sure). The dealer wants $300 for the pulley assembly. Do you have some different options? Maybe: a) Knock off the old nut, tack weld a new one on? b) Part out of a wreck? aerod -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own
