I don't think there is anythin wrong in the hydraulic system. I have had
similar fault in -81 900.

The problem was inside the vacuum servo unit. There was one part  loose
giving full airflow (full servo assist) when brake pressed. It was very
difficult to use brake as you mentioned.

I managed to take the servo unit apart and fix it. No new parts was needed.
