The brakes in my '81 900s are giving me problems. When I press the brake pedal there is no pressure at all for about a quarter of the way, then a short loud hissing sound by the pedal, then the brakes grab, not bad when only doing 30-50km/hr, but a whole lot scary when doing 120km/hr. Any ideas on diagnosis would be helpful as I would like to do the work myself. Many thanks anyone who can help.
